Daniel Camarillo - Button EP incl. Ryan Sullivan, Robert R. Hardy, Steve Sai [SMD075]

Original:
From the beginning of the track, notes of crispness in the percussion highlight the mood of this progressive creation. Soft notes and synth horns dance playfully amidst the bassline and sharp hats carry the tempo. When the breakdown comes it’s an uplifting melodic experience that will transport you back to the transition years of trance when a harsh speedy genre evolved into the soft rolling progressive sounds of today. Mellow and deep, but still flirty enough to keep an audience interested in it’s next move, “Button” is a show of discipline and maturity in this fresh music creator.

Robert R. Hardy Dark Therapy Remix:
The Robert R. Hardy Dark Therapy Remix does just what it says it will. It shines just enough light through the darkness to keep the listener from getting lost by effectively employing some piercing bright strings. The breakdown is deep and moody, yet still reverbally yearns through notes of the original “Button.” With a 2 minute intro and tons of darkness to go along with the Original’s sound, this remix will sate the appetite of the minimalistic.

Ryan Sullivan Remix:
Ryan Sullivan found a groovy, crunchy bassline and used it to sew on the Button. While still slow paced and somewhat minimalistic, the edgier bassline and harder synth stabs create a more energetic environment. Exactly halfway through this remix the breakdown comes and introduces an entirely different element into this rendition; guitar plucks coupled with howling strings. It lifts the track out of the dark electro ghetto and into cloud city in an interesting and intriguing turn of style. If creativity is what you were craving, the Ryan Sullivan remix is adventurous, daring, and effective.

Steve Sai Remix:
Right at the 30 second mark this remix waves a more techy hand. While still engaging the lonesome tones of the synths, the overall feel of this remix is smoother and happier than the deeper sounds of the others. Some parts of this remix will transport you into realms of Blade Runner and other Vangelis works, and THAT is never a bad thing. Turn to this remix when you need to “Button” a solid progressive track into a versatile tech mix.
