VA 'Initializing vol. IV' [SMDVA006]

The 4th edition of 'Initializing' compilation serious on Suffused Music consist of 11 tracks from all seven continents. The carefully selected tracks are all featured here and make up what has become fondly known as the progressive house underground. Starting off with Suffused Music's regular Advent's Rising remixed by Aussie's most promising Matter, followed by deep Argenitian vibes from German Angeleri. The deep debut by new comer from Lithuania - Rokkas, then bright and shiny Canadian collaboration by Steve Ness & Anthony Nitti, New Zeland's deep broken rhythms by Nila. Then catching up with tremendous Slovakian - Ri Za, No Signal records owner from Peru - Mario M, the hardworking French Hansgod delivered a great prog tech shaker. The production duo from Japan Basara-ZA provided a dancefloor killer named Stand Apart. Then another big room killer by Belgian Greg Wonders and the closing track came from Russian guy who's got nearly two decades of DJing experience - Vitaly Shturm. So it's one more Suffused Music's 'Initializing', which showcases fresh talent in conjunction with some tried and tested favourites for the ultimate listening and dance floor experience.

Advent's Rising - Return EP incl. Andrees and Yakoff, Bobby Deep, Matter, Rezo [SMD074]

Advent's Rising has been an integral part of the Suffused Music artist roster since the inception of the label nearly two years ago. The Greek producer's 'Unexpected Conditions' was Suffused Music's third ever release in June of 2013 and he has since appeared twelve additional times. As 2015 begins Advent's Rising is embarking on what is set to be the strongest single of this career. Once again courtesy of Suffused Music 'Return' is another journey into the depths of progressive house with a great complement of remixes from Andrees and Yakoff, Bobby Deep, Matter and Rezo.

Advent's Rising's driving, energetic style of progressive remains refreshing and the 'Return' exemplifies that wonderfully. The emotional content of the record is what sets it apart from some of his previous productions. The smooth chord changes and sweeping harmonies are bound to create many goose bump moments throughout 2015 and it's surely a standout in his discography this far.

The first interpretation of 'Return' is provided by Andrees and Yakoff who are making their fourth appearance on Suffused Music. The Lithuanian duo remain one of their countries top up and coming production teams and their interpretation of 'Return' only solidifies that sentiment. The duos meandering broken beat remix not only complements the driving original quite well but it's introspective melodies may capture a few hearts along the way

The second interpretation is provided by Bobby Deep who is making his first appearance on Suffused Music. The Greek producer is a long time veteran of the progressive house underground and his discography now has nearly 350 entries. For his 'Return' interpretation Bobby has put a wonderful old school twist on the track with rumbling grooves, soaring synths and above all an honest, emotional approach which his diehard fan base is sure to enjoy.

The third interpretation is provided by Matter who is making his third appearance on Suffused Music. 2014 has seen the Aussie producer rise even higher with an outstanding EP on FutureForm Music. For his 'Return' interpretation Matter has put a deep, hypnotic twist on the track like only he can. Mesmerizing vocal loops and a vortex of infectious rhythms lead what is another intelligent club bomb from Matter.

The fourth and final remix comes from Rezo who is making his first appearance on Suffused Music. The Israeli producer has appeared on Mistique Music, Jetlag Digital and OLD SQL Recordings over the course of his 7 year production career and his debut remix for Suffused Music closes the release out on a strong note. Rezo's melodic reconstruction is full of memorable elements from big bulging bass stabs, clattering drums and sparkling harmonies. The mixes emotion is amplified by its pristine and detailed production and makes for the most blissful work of Rezo's career.

Jor Messina - Warships EP incl. Hernan Portillo, Matt Black, Steve McGrath [SMD073]

 Jor Messina was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1987. He made his first appearances in the electronic music scene at the age of 22. He tasted the real vibe of the progressive style then, which love still lasts today. Jor combining feelings and moods in his sessions from deep and tech house to progressive techno creating a nice atmosphere from different sounds. He already delivered a few tracks on well renowned labels like Mistique Music, Suffused Music, LuPs Records.
Jor earned spotlight with his latest work 'Tumbling Sky' (appeared on the Initializing Vol. III) on Suffused Music, so it was not a surprise as he come back with a massive follow up track called 'Warships'. The original tune is full with energy and hidden layers of liveliness and a conscious, well balanced groove-synth connection. The remixes comes from Hernan Portillo, Matt Black and Steve McGrath. Hernan Portillo set a darker scene, with even more crustiness, while Matt Black kept the original's pace and added some melodic bits and pieces to make sound more epic. Steve McGrath made a very delightful downtempo version, with impressive synths and a monumental emotional factor.- Greyloop

Net Son & Lucas Hache - Sogno EP incl. Kel&Xiasou, Robert R. Hardy, Sean McClellan, Zan Prevee [SMD072]

Shahin Ibrahimov aka Net Son hailing from Baku, Azerbajian teamed up with the argentinian golden voice Lucas Hache to deliver one really delicious progressive driven vocal tune called 'Sogno' on Suffused Music, as the label's 72 release. We got four remixes on the original tune by Kel&Xiasou, Robert R. Hardy, Sean McClellan and Zan Preveé.
The original mix can be described as a solid house production attached with airy strings and lovely synth notes, on top of that we have Lucas's narration.
The greek Kel&Xiasou duo went subtle with some uplifting connection to the floating textures, merged with the main samples.
Robert R. Hardy continues to spread his mesmerizing, percussion filled progressive sound combined with the original structure.
Sean McClellan carefully put the attention on the combo of the smooth groove and dreamy melodic section.
Zan Preveé spiced his version with a bit of acid, while cut down the vocals, and make it ideal for those who are hooked on instrumental, atmospheric stuffs. - Greyloop

Arthur Minnahmetov - Why EP incl. Audio Noir, Nicolas Agudelo, Spitsyn [SMD071]

Arthur Minnahmetov began his production career a mere seven months ago. His debut EP entitled 'Mantra' (released though Balkan Connection's BC2) immediately caught the attention of electronic music fans. The Russian producers moody, melancholic take on progressive house was welcomed by the underground and a string of successful releases soon followed. Subsequent appearances on BQ Recordings and Stellar Fountain Deep stood out and as 2014 is drawing to a close Suffused Music is presenting the most anticipated release of Arthur's career. 'Why' is the Russian producers debut single for Suffused Music and it encompasses what many progressive fans have come to love about his productions. From its warm, bouncy groove to smooth chord changes and delicate keys there is a lot of emotionally stimulating elements. The second half pushes the heartfelt vibes even higher with a subtle complement of tantalizing harmonies and alluring atmospheres. A definite nod to the old school from Arthur and one that sits nicely in Suffused Music's catalog. The remixes which are supplied by Audio Noir, Nicolas Agudelo and Spitsyn update the track masterfully. Audio Noir has kept the great thematic vibes but added angelic vocal elements for a radical new twist. Nicolas Agudelo's dreamier interpretation stands out as well with a wickedly hypnotic second half providing a rousing climax. Closing the release out is Spitsyn who lays down his galloping rhythms and squelchy synths for an energetic and inspired interpretation. Esthetique - Xenia EP incl. Bermuda, Gvozdini, Yuriy From Russia [SMD070]

The 70th release on Suffused Music welcomes Esthetique to the label. The Russian artist made his production debut on Michael & Levan and Stiven Rivic's Mistique Music in 2009 with a remix of Oleg Zubkov. Esthetique then went on to appear two additional times on Mistique with remixes of Atrium Sun and Mars Needs Lovers, the latter of which was released in April of 2010. Currently acting as an A&R for NEO Music Esthetique now makes his return to the production spotlight with a brand new single for Suffused Music. 'Xenia' is a first in two ways; it's not only Esthetique's first original track but also his first progressive house production as all his previous remixes were of the breakbeat variety.

The Russian producers love for trancey melodies and progressive grooves really comes through on 'Xenia'. A well arranged sequence of vocal snips and rhythmic tones melds wonderfully with a full, driving foundation as the track begins to take shape. The melodic content begins to rise as the track approaches the main break with subtle themes wrapping themselves around the pumping framework. The near one minute interlude showcases the dancing harmonies further with a delicate build and smooth re-entry highlighting the apex. The second half ups the energy further with blissful pads and spiralling harmonics providing an exhilarating conclusion. It caps off what is a great return for Esthetique and one which couldn't be more appropriate on a surging label like Suffused Music. The release is further strengthened with three interpretations from Bermuda, Gvozdini and Yuriy From Russia which all add their own unique complement to the original.
