The 57th release on Suffused Music features the debut of Smight to the label. US producer Herbert Berkley aka Smight rose to prominence during the golden years of progressive house. Appearances on Acute Recordings, Fade Records and Hellpass Records solidified Smight as one of the most cutting edge producers of the time and his records were a firm favourite of John Digweed. Fast forward nearly twelve years and Smight has enjoyed a resurgence of sorts with releases on Music To Please Friends and PolyTechnic Recordings. Hernan Cattaneo has also lent his support as he featured Smight's recent production 'Magic' on his Resident Delta FM radioshow and podcast. Smight's debut EP for Suffused Music is entitled 'First Light' and it comes with five brand new original productions. It's a collection of music that boasts a wide ranges of moods, styles and emotions. Whether it be the intense and driving 'Angry She Devils' or the deeply musical 'What You Want' this is a diverse EP from Smight and one that sits nicely in Suffused Music's ever expanding catalog. - Release Promo
